This video introduces EchoBeam, a new 80 GHz radar level sensor from Flowline. The sensor offers reliable level measurement for liquids and solids, with features like high accuracy, narrow beam, zero deadband, and maintenance-free operation. The video highlights the sensor's capabilities in challenging environments and processes, and showcases the user-friendly Level Tap app for configuration and management.
The 80-GHz radar level transmitter provides reliable level measurement of tank, sump or reservoir applications with water, chemical or petroleum liquids or slurries; and silo, bin, stockpile, crusher or transfer station applications with grain, pellet, powder or aggregate solids. What is an 80-GHz radar level transmitter and how does it work? The non-contact radar level transmitter emits an 80-GHz frequency modulated continuous wave RF signal from its antenna. The 80-GHz signal travels through the air gap, reflects against the liquid or solids dielectric media below and returns to the antenna. The 80-GHz radar level transmitter determines the reflection signal time of flight and converts this into level height, distance or volume. 80-GHz radar level transmitters are the most reliable non-contact level or open channel flow transmitter as their robust measurement technology is unaffected by most changes in the application media, process or environment. EchoBeam 80-GHz radar level transmitters are reliable, flexible, simple and maintenance free.
