M Series Mechanical Register Flow Meter Q & A

+ What flow rates and pipe sizes can the M Series handle?
The Macnaught M Series Mechanical Register Flow Meters cover a broad range of flow rates, typically from 1 to 300 GPM (4 to 1,100 LPM), depending on the model. They are available for a range of pipe sizes, generally from ?” to 4”. Please refer to specific model datasheets for exact ranges.

+ What fluids can be measured with the M Series meters?
The M Series meters are compatible with a wide variety of clean, non-corrosive fluids including oils, diesel fuel, gasoline, kerosene, and other petroleum-based liquids. They can also handle some water-based fluids, provided they are compatible with the meter’s construction materials.
+ What is the accuracy and repeatability of these meters?
M Series flow meters offer an accuracy of ±1% of reading, with excellent repeatability of ±0.03%. These specifications help ensure consistent, reliable measurements in the field.

+ What materials are the meters constructed from?
The M Series meters are built with robust aluminum bodies, high-quality seals, and stainless-steel internal components to provide long service life and resistance to wear. The materials were selected to handle petroleum-based fluids and similar compatible liquids.

+ Are there options for pulse outputs or electronic registers?
Yes, in addition to the mechanical register, M Series meters can be fitted with optional pulse output modules and electronic register kits. These accessories make it easy to integrate the meter into electronic control or batching systems.
